Thanks to his contract with the World Trade Organization, he&#8217;s not allowed to promote any project that would benefit him financially. So he can sell the books and cash the checks all day long but he can&#8217;t show up to the red carpet premier.<\/p>\n<p>Usually when an author refuses to acknowledge a movie based on their work it&#8217;s because the adaptation misses the mark, but in this case it seems like the author is really upset that he can&#8217;t make it.
